Rudolf Dannhauer (born June 29, 1934 in Wernigerode ) is a former German cross-country skier .

Career

Rudolf Dannhauer's participation in the 1958 world championships was his first participation in a world championship, he finished 48th over 15 kilometers. At the GDR ski championships in 1959 he won the gold medal with the 4 × 10 km relay of the ASK Vorwärts Oberhof together with Adolf Jankowski , Werner Haase and Cuno Werner . He was also able to win other medals in the relay competitions at GDR championships, but never one in an individual competition.

At the Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley and in 1964 in Innsbruck , he started over the 15 and 30 kilometer distances. After his career he worked as a youth trainer in Oberhof .

Personal

Rudolf Dannhauer married Renate Borges between 1960 and 1961 , who was also a cross-country skier in the GDR team.
