Rudolf Gehrig

Rudolf Gehrig (* 1993 in Bad Neustadt an der Saale , Lower Franconia ) is a German journalist and TV presenter .

Life

Gehrig was born in Bad Neustadt and grew up in Seubrigshausen . After graduating from the Johann-Philipp-von-Schönborn-Gymnasium in Münnerstadt , he worked for a year in the parish of St. Joseph der Arbeiter in Senden as an intern in youth work and completed a one-year internship as a nanny at the St. Christopherus Children's Center.

Gehrig works as a freelancer for the Saale-Zeitung and the Mainpost, among others . Since 2011 he has been writing regularly for the Catholic daily newspaper Die Tagespost . He has been writing regular columns for Vatican Magazine since January 2020 .

His books YOUCAT Update! Confess! (2014) and Paths of Faith IV: On the Trail of the Credo (2017) have been translated into different languages.

Rudolf Gehrig has been working for the Catholic television channel and later television broadcaster EWTN Germany in Cologne as an editor and TV presenter since 2013 . There he takes part in various TV productions, including the series Rudolf will's Wissen , a series of talks between Rudolf Gehrig and bishops on questions of faith. In the first season Gehrig spoke with the Cologne Auxiliary Bishop Klaus Dick , in the second with the Swiss Auxiliary Bishop Marian Eleganti the topic was the spiritual battle .
