Rudolf Gunkel

Rudolf Gunkel (born November 22, 1915 in Berlin ; † November 16, 2013 in Neuötting ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Gunkel attended elementary school and trained as a typesetter . During the Second World War he became a soldier and was then taken prisoner of war .

In 1947 Gunkel joined the CDU and in the following year he became a works council at IG Druck und Papier . In the Berlin election in 1950 he was elected to the district council in the Reinickendorf district. In the Berlin election in 1954 he was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives until Gunkel was elected as district councilor for social affairs in Reinickendorf in June 1971. In 1975 he left office.

Gunkel was chairman of the CDU Reinickendorf from 1965 to 1974.
