Rudolf Happle (born May 18, 1938 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German doctor and Limerick author (under the pseudonym Ole Haldrup ).

Life

Rudolf Happle was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. He worked as a university professor and from 1991 to 2004 as director of the Clinic for Dermatology and Allergology at the Philipps University of Marburg . His specialties are pediatric dermatology, genodermatoses and hair growth disorders .

After him u. a. the García-Hafner-Happle syndrome and the Conradi-Hünermann syndrome are also named.

Happle is of the opinion that the pursuit of scientific knowledge in university medicine and the magical-mystical thinking of homeopathy are mutually exclusive. In 1992 he wrote the Marburg Declaration on Homeopathy and in 2016 was one of the founders of the critical information network homeopathy .

In 1995 Happle was elected a member of the Leopoldina .

Work as a poet

Under the pseudonym Ole Haldrup (an anagram of his name omitting two letters), Happle has been publishing Limericks since 1973, initially in various newspapers, especially in the Frankfurter Rundschau , and later also in book form. Happle does not always reveal his relationship to his alter ego in publications . B. cited Limericks under a pseudonym in letters to the editor marked with his name.

Although Haldrup has never participated in Limerick competitions, some of his verses have won awards at such events. After these five-liners appeared in newspapers, readers sent them in for competitions, inadvertently under their own names.

It happened, for example, that the castle actor Josef Meinrad performed Haldrup's Nice-Limerick on the TV show "Mit Vice and Violin" in 1981, and with that some woman Häberle from Stuttgart-Vaihingen had won 50 marks. Shortly afterwards, the tobacco company Roth-Händle Haldrups Fünfzeiler printed “A stone old man in Hesse ...” as well as “It was owned by a man in Saarbrücken ...” under a foreign author's name.

Ole Haldrup's verses are partly of an erotic nature.
