Rudolf Johna

Rudolf Johna (born March 12, 1933 in Schewkowitz ; † January 2, 2014 in Neumünster ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Johna was born in Upper Silesia and after graduating from high school, trained as a civil servant. In 1963 he joined the SPD. Professionally, he worked from 1958 to 1979 in the finance ministry of Schleswig-Holstein, including as treasurer of the Neumünster regional treasury and deputy treasurer of the Kiel II regional treasury. In 1966, he was elected to the city ​​council of Neumünster , to which he belonged until 1988. From 1975 to 1979 he was deputy mayor .

In 1979 Johna was elected to the Landtag of Schleswig-Holstein in the Neumünster state constituency. He also won the direct mandate in the 1983, 1987, 1988 and 1992 elections. Johna was a member of a number of state parliament committees, including the agricultural and environmental protection committee, the submission committee, of which he was chairman, and the social committee. In 1996 Johna left the state parliament.

Johna was married and has three children.
