Rudolf Sievers (artist)
Rudolf Sievers (born October 19, 1884 in Braunschweig , † October 13, 1918 in Besny-et-Loizy , near Laon , Aisne department ) was a German graphic artist , author and songwriter of the youth movement .
He became known for his portfolios of Black Games and Braunschweig as well as for the motley picture book . Rudolf Sievers also wrote the text for the song Wilde Vögel, Wandervögel (melody by Kurt Heerklotz ). He was friends with the graphic artist Günther Clausen .
Until the outbreak of the First World War, Sievers was editor of the magazine "Wandervogel - Monthly magazine for German youth hiking", to which he also contributed numerous texts and illustrations.
