Rudolf Tischner (born April 3, 1879 in Hohenmölsen , † April 24, 1961 in Garstedt ) was a German ophthalmologist , occultist and writer .

After studying medicine, Tischner practiced as an ophthalmologist in Munich . His almost complete deafness after suffering from tuberculosis was remarkable . Although not a homeopath himself , he wrote highly regarded articles about it, including the classic The Becoming of Homeopathy . Committed to evidence-based medicine , he pleaded for this to be merged with homeopathy.

Tischner dealt intensively with parapsychological phenomena, telekinesis , telepathy and occultism. He carried out numerous experiments in these directions and wrote some extensive works on them.
