Rudolph von Gaffron

Rudolph von Gaffron (born March 4, 1821 in Kunern ; † October 28, 1901 or June 17, 1903 in Szádecsne, Trenčín county ) was an officer in the Austro-Hungarian army and owner of the manor.

Rudolph von Gaffron came from the Silesian nobility family Gaffron . His father was the manor owner Hermann von Gaffron . His brother was Baron Theodor von Gaffron-Kunern , district administrator and, like his father, a member of the Prussian mansion .

Life

Rudolph von Gaffron studied at the University of Bonn and became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn in 1841 . After completing his studies, he started an officer career in the Austro-Hungarian Army . From 1873 to 1879 he was a colonel in command of the Kuk hussar regiment "Friedrich Leopold of Prussia" No. 2 . He was promoted to major general on May 1, 1879, and retired a month later. As major general a. D. he lived on his manor in Szádecsne until his death.
