Theodor Maximilian Hermann Freiherr von Gaffron-Kunern (born September 23, 1823 , † April 10, 1899 in Patschkau , Province of Silesia ) was a Silesian landowner , Prussian chamberlain and politician as a member of the Prussian manor house .

Theodor Freiherr von Gaffron-Kunern came from the Silesian noble family Gaffron . He was the son of Herrmann Freiherr von Gaffron-Kunern and Johanna Röstel. His brother was Rudolph von Gaffron , a general in the Austro-Hungarian army . In 1849 he married Marie von Schönermark (* 1828) in Prieborn. The couple had two children: Max Theodor Hermann (* 1852) and Anna Maria Hedwig (* 1858).

Life

Von Gaffron-Kunern attended the Knight's Academy in Liegnitz in 1838 , later joined the Prussian army (last rank major in the 4th Lower Silesian Landwehr Regiment No. 51), was appointed Prussian chamberlain in 1861 and was district administrator of the Münsterberg district between 1865 and 1871 . In 1872 he entered the Prussian mansion at the presentation of the landowners' association in the Münsterberg countryside . Since 1867 he was a legal knight of the Order of St. John and had the following medals: Red Eagle Order 4th Class, Crown Order 4th Class, Iron Cross 2nd Class with a White Ribbon, Bavarian Military Merit Order of the 1st Knight Class, Grand Ducal Hessian Military Medical Keuz and the Grand Ducal Saxon House Order Vigilance in the Comthur class without a star. After the sale of his goods to the House of Sachsen-Weimar on November 17, 1882, he lost his membership in the manor house and his children became a baron because it was connected to the Kunern estate . Most recently he was director of the Münsterberg-Glatzer Principality Landscape, and then retired to Patschkau in Upper Silesia, where he died in 1899.
