The 2005/06 season was the 76th season of the Romanian Ice Hockey League , the highest Romanian ice hockey division . Champion was for the 40th time in the history of the Steaua Bucharest .

In the main round, each of the six teams played a total of 20 games. The four best-placed teams qualified for the final round, the two first-placed teams in turn qualified for the championship finals. Each team received two points for a win, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat.
