The 2011/12 season was the 82nd season of the Romanian Ice Hockey League , the highest Romanian ice hockey division . Champion was for the 13th time in the history of the HSC Csíkszereda .

In the main round, each of the 5 teams played a total of 16 games. The three best-placed teams qualified directly for the final round, whose participants all qualified in turn for the playoffs in which the champions were played off. The last three placed in the main round played the last participant in the final round among themselves in a qualifying round. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a draw and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
