Rumen Trifonov (born February 21, 1985 ) is a Bulgarian football player . He plays for Lokomotive Sofia in A Grupa , the highest Bulgarian league.

Career

Trifonov began his career at CSKA Sofia , where he was brought into the first team in 2004. He then moved to Chernomorets-Burgas-Balgaria , the predecessor club of FC Chernomorets Burgas . In the 2006/07 season he completed a league game for Wichren Sandanski . From 2007 to 2009 he was active at Minjor Pernik , where he rose in the 2007/08 season with the team in the top Bulgarian league. In the first season in the A Grupa, Minjor was eleventh. After another fall season at Minjor, he returned to CSKA Sofia in spring 2010 and was runner-up. In early 2012 he was banned from the Bulgarian Olympic Committee for three months for doping with methylhexanamine . After the 2012/13 season and leaving the UEFA Europa League , his contract with CSKA Sofia was terminated.

At the beginning of the 2012/13 season Trifonow moved to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast to FC Chernomorets Burgas .
