Runcie CW Chidebe (born December 26, 1985 in Talata Mafara , Zamfara ), full name Runcie Chikeruba Wilson Chidebe is a Nigerian psychologist , activist and oncology researcher . He was best known for founding Project Pink Blue, a non-profit organization that is a leader in public cancer screening in Nigeria .

education

Runcie Chidebe studied at the University of Nigeria and graduated with a diploma in social work in 2006 and a bachelor's degree in psychology , sociology and anthropology in 2012 . Runcie Chidebe was best in class in social work and psychology. He came up with the idea for a cancer awareness and prevention project in 2013 while serving for the National Youth Service Corps , a compulsory social year in Nigeria.

In 2016 Runcie Chidebe was with the exchange program “Youth and Civic Participation” as part of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) of the US State Department in the USA.

Project Pink Blue

Runcie Chidebe is the founder and CEO of Project Pink Blue. This organization carries out cancer awareness-raising in rural Nigeria, founded the first self-help group of cancer survivors and collects donations for those who are ill in need. In 2018 the project started a priority initiative for the early detection of prostate cancer and the support of sick men. Among other things, free PSA tests are carried out. The Union internationale contre le cancer awarded the Project Pink Blue 2018 the World Cancer Day Spirit Award . Among other things, Runcie Chidebe relies on the intelligent use of social media for the project's campaigns .
