The Runde (also Lundi ) is a tributary of the Save in Zimbabwe .

course

It rises in the highlands (Highveld) near Gweru , flows southeast through the Midlands province , then increasingly east through that of Masvingo , where it flows into the Save on the border with Mozambique in the Gonarezhou National Park .

Tributaries of the Lundi are the Shashe, Ingezi, Tokwe , Milikwe and Chiredzi rivers . In the upper reaches, the round is dammed by the Gwenora dam.

economy

The Runde valley is used intensively for agricultural purposes, as in Mberengwa, and has good soils. In the lower part, in the area of Triangle , sugar cane plantations are irrigated. Near Zvishavane , gold is being panned by settlers under irregular conditions in the river. Average profit is $ 40 a month.
