Rune Olijnyk (born December 27, 1968 in Lørenskog ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Athletic career

Olijnyk made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on December 3, 1989 and reached 34th place from the large hill in Thunder Bay . On December 28, 1989, in Oberstdorf , when he finished 9th , he made it into the top ten for the first time, and won World Cup points for the first time. On January 6, 1990, he was able to achieve the best individual World Cup result of his career with 6th place in Bischofshofen .

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1991 in Val di Fiemme , he won the silver medal on the large hill and jumped from the normal hill to 20th place. In the team competition, he reached 4th place with the team and narrowly missed the medal ranks. At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , he achieved 7th place in team competition with Espen Bredesen , Magne Johansen and Lasse Ottesen .

On March 15, 1992 Olijnyk jumped his last World Cup jumping in Oslo before he ended his active ski jumping career after the end of the 1991/92 season.
