Magne Johansen (born January 18, 1965 in Trondheim ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper .

Career

On March 1, 1987 Johansen jumped in Lahti for the first time in the ski jumping world cup . On the large hill he was able to win two World Cup points for the first time in 14th place. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1989 on the large hill in Lahti, he won the silver medal in team competition with Clas Brede Bråthen , Ole Gunnar Fidjestøl and Jon Inge Kjørum . At the ski flying world championship in 1990 in Vikersund Johansen reached the 39th place.

At the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville , Johansen jumped 49th on the normal hill and 18th on the large hill. In the team competition he achieved 7th place together with Espen Bredesen , Rune Olijnyk and Lasse Ottesen . Shortly after the games, he won the silver medal on the large hill at the Norwegian Championships in his home town of Trondheim and only had to admit defeat to Lasse Ottesen. At the Ski Flying World Championships 1992 in Harrachov Johansen flew on March 22, 1992 to 13th place. At the end of the 1991/92 World Cup season , he finished 26th, the best position of his career in the overall World Cup ranking.

In the 1992/93 season he could no longer build on his successes and remained unsuccessful and pointless. During the season he started in the Continental Cup (COC) for the first time . However, he could not achieve any more success in this series and ended his active ski jumping career in 1998 at the age of 33.
