The Ruta Nacional 22 is a national road in Argentina , which runs over a length of 685 kilometers from the vicinity of Bahía Blanca in the province of Buenos Aires to Zapala in the province of Neuquén . It crosses Argentina in an east-west direction.

The Ruta Nacional 22 begins about 32 kilometers west of downtown Bahia Blanca. It branches off from Ruta Nacional 3 , which leads 3045 kilometers south from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia .

It first leads to the capital of the Partido Villarino, Médanos . Through the province of Buenos Aires, it crosses the small towns of Nicolás Levalle, Juan Cousté and Montes de Oca.

In the province of La Pampa , the Ruta Nacional 40 runs through La Adela, the capital of the Caleu Caleu department . From La Adela it leads to the neighboring town of Río Colorado in the province of Río Negro . On the route in this province are the places Choele Choel , Darwin , Coronel Belisle, Chimpay and Chelforó of the Avellaneda Department , as well as Chichinales , Villa Regina , General Enrique Godoy, Ingeniero Luis A. Huergo, Mainqué, Cervantes, General Roca , Allen, General Fernández Oro and Cipolletti of the General Roca Department .

From Cipolletti it leads to the city of Neuquén . Further west in the Departamento Confluencia it runs through Plottier , Senillosa , Plaza Huincul and Cutral-Có . The road ends in Zapala, in the center of the province.
