Sébastien Joly (born June 25, 1979 in Tournon-sur-Rhône ) is a former French cyclist .

Joly turned pro at Bonjour in 2001 . As a young driver, he won Paris – Roubaix in 1999 in the U23 class. He landed his first international elite success in 2003 in the one-day race Route Adélie . The following season he then moved to Crédit Agricole , where he competed for the first time in the Tour de France and finished it penultimate. In 2005 Joly won his first tour with the Tour du Limousin , where he also managed a stage victory. In June 2007 Joly developed testicular cancerdiagnosed, the operation was performed on July 3rd, which was followed by radiation. Joly had recovered from the illness to such an extent that he was able to compete again as a professional cyclist - for example in the 2009 Tour de France . At the end of the 2011 season, Joly ended his career as a professional cyclist.
