The Södra Anundsjöån is the southernmost of the three source rivers of the Moälven and has a length of 60 kilometers and a catchment area of 535 square kilometers. It rises from Norra Bergsjön on the border with Sollefteå municipality . From there it flows as Bergsjöån in a south-easterly direction through the Myckelgensjösjön , where the Hällån , which comes from the Hällvattnet , flows out. From there it is called Södra Anundsjöån, after Skalmsjösjön for a short section Skalmsjöån and after a few kilometers back to Södra Anunsjöån. Before Sörflärke is the Lillselforsen (a rapids), then the river flows through the Ödsbysjön and the Gensjösjön , before it joins the Norra Anundsjöån to Moälven in Bredbyn . In Bredbyn there is Anundsjö kyrka from 1437 with a stack of bells from 1759. In Myckelgensjösjön , the Moälven flows past Gammelgården , an old farm that was first mentioned in 1545 and whose appearance has not changed since around 1860.
