history
The lighthouse was built from concrete at the same time as Grønningen fyr and commissioned on September 1, 1878.
The station was switched to automatic operation in 1948 and has been unmanned since then.
In 2014 the facade of the building was completely renovated. All windows of the lighthouse were replaced and 7 to 8 windows on the southwest side, which were previously closed, were reopened. The lighthouse has been sandblasted and given two to three coats of paint.
