Søren Berg (born May 15, 1976 in Odense ) is a former Danish football player . He played for FC Vestsjælland from January 2013 to 2014 , after having played mostly in his home country in his playing career so far. In addition, however, he was active in Norway for two years .

Career

Søren Berg landed at Odense BK in the summer of 2000 via the stations Fjordager IF and Dalum IF . Berg was active for six years for the club, which is considered to be the center of football on Funen, and won the Danish Cup with this team in 2002 . In the summer of 2006, the now 30-year-old Berg moved abroad when he signed with the Norwegian first division club Viking Stavanger . In his year and a half at Viking, he made 37 league appearances and scored six goals. In January 2008 Berg returned to Denmark and signed with Randers FC , with whom he qualified for the Europa League qualification in 2009 via the fair play rating . In the third qualifying round Randers was eliminated against Hamburger SV . After a 4-0 defeat in the first leg in front of his own audience, Randers was able to win the second leg at the Volksparkstadion . Søren Berg scored the 1-0 winning goal. In the following season, Randers also played in qualifying for the Europa League thanks to the fair play rating . Randers was eliminated in the third qualifying round against FC Lausanne-Sport , which was then playing in the second division. Berg was used in all six games in qualifying. At the beginning of 2011, Berg moved to local rivals Aarhus GF , who were then playing in the second Danish division . Six months later, Berg and the Aarhus team were promoted to the upper house - and a year later not only did they stay in the league, but also a fifth place , which allowed them to qualify for the Europa League . Berg was eliminated with Aarhus in the second qualifying round against Dila Gori . In January 2013 Berg finally moved to FC Vestsjælland , with whom he had signed a one and a half year contract. After these one and a half years and 22 completed league games, he ended his career as an active player at the age of 38.
