The Süßleiteck is a 2507 m above sea level. A. high summit of the Schladminger Tauern in Upper Styria . It lies west of the Sölkpass .
Location and landscape
The Süßleiteck is located in the main ridge of the Niedere Tauern , between Rantental near Krakow in the south, and Sölktal with Sankt Nikolai in the north. To the south the Etrachbach goes over the Ranten to the Mur . To the north, the Schimpelbach flow from the Schimpelsee west and Hüttkar-Bach, they go over the Sölk to the Enns .
To the west of the main ridge is the Schimpelspitz ( 2413 m above sea level ). east after the shrine ( 2410 m above sea level ) the Sauofen ( 2415 m above sea level ).
Approach
You climb the mountain from the Großsölktal over the Bräualm and the Breitenbachsee, or over the Etrachgraben and the Rudolf-Schober-Hütte to the Schimpelscharte , and down a little, and from there over the north ridge - with a secured counter descent - to the summit. A steep path also leads directly from the Schimpelscharte over the Schimpelspitz. From the path from Schödergraben to Katschgraben , a path leads past Sauofen to the south and the ridge over the shrine from the east.
