The term south-east Switzerland ( Romansh Svizra Sidorientala , Italian Sud-est della Svizzera ) is generally understood to mean the regions in south-east Switzerland. These are the canton of Graubünden , the canton of Glarus as well as parts of the canton of St. Gallen (constituencies See-Gaster and Sarganserland ). The Werdenberg constituency is occasionally included. The name roughly describes the area covered by the newspaper of the same name, Die Südostschweiz, with its headers.

At the end of 2016, the population of the Southeastern Switzerland region was 382,607.
