SC Dahlhausen
The SC Dahlhausen (officially: Sportclub Dahlhausen 07 eV ) was a sports club from the Bochum district of Dahlhausen . The association was founded in 1907. The first football team played in the highest Westphalian amateur league for eleven years.

Soccer
The footballers were runner-up in the district class behind SV Ehrenfeld in 1954 . A year later he was promoted to the national league , which was the highest Westphalian amateur league at the time. Third in Group 3, the Dahlhausen team qualified for the 1956 newly created association league , where the SC established itself as the top team. In the 1957/58 season the team caused a sensation in the West German Cup after the Dahlhausen team with TSV Marl-Hüls , Eintracht Gelsenkirchen and Arminia Gütersloh defeated. It was only in the quarterfinals that they lost after a 3-1 defeat against VfB Bottrop .
In 1955 the footballers of the SC could only get the association league after a playoff round against TuS Eiringhausen and SuS Menden 09 . The early 1960s became the club's most successful period. In 1961, the Dahlhausen runners-up in the Association League II were behind Sportfreunde Siegen . A year later, the SC finished the season tied with BV Brambauer . The playoff for the relay championship ended in the neutral Castrop-Rauxel with a 1-0 win for Brambauer. 1966 the Dahlhausen had to relegate as bottom of the table in the state league, where the SC was passed through in the district class. In 1971 the club rose again to the regional league, but failed because of relegation.

Gustav Disse won the German marathon championship in 1956, 1957 and 1959 and Jürgen Wedeking in 1964 .
Successor clubs
As a result, the SC Dahlhausen merged in 1972 MBV Linden 05 to SG Bochum-Süd , which was relegated in its first season from the state league and in 1981 had to go to the district league A. In 1988 he was promoted to the district league, which was followed three years later by jumping into the state league. In 1997, SG Bochum-Süd merged again with VfB Linden, founded in 1953, to form today's SG Linden-Dahlhausen . This club was relegated from the state league in 1998 and managed to get promoted again directly. In 2002 the SG Linden-Dahlhausen rose again and in 2007 slipped down to the district league B. In 2010 they were promoted to the district league A, from which the team had to relegate six years later.
