The SC Preußen Breslau was a German football club from Breslau , Lower Silesia . He was a member of the Southeast German Football Association (SOFV).

history

The SC Preußen Breslau was founded on December 15, 1902 and was one of the founding members of the Association of Breslau Ball Game Clubs . After this association joined the Southeast German Football Association , Prussia played Breslau from then on in the Wroclaw district . In the first few years mostly midfield placements were achieved. Only in the 1912/13 season did the Breslauers qualify for the Southeast German finals. After Prussia Breslau was level on points with VfR 1897 Breslau at the end of the round- robin tournament , there was a playoff in which the club prevailed 2-0. In the subsequent Southeast German final, the Breslau team met Britannia Posen in the preliminary round , which they defeated 1-0. The semifinals were lost against FC Askania Forst with 1: 2, but Prussia Breslau successfully protested the game standings, so a replay was necessary. But this too was lost against the later Southeast German soccer champions with 1: 2, so that the Breslau team were eliminated.

After the First World War, Prussia Breslau merged with the Breslauer Sportfreunde club in 1919 to form the United Breslauer Sportfreunde , which lasted until another merger in 1933.
