The ST120101 series refers to several fishing vessels built in 2017 at the Turkish shipyard Cemre Shipyard for Icelandic fishing companies.

These are fresh fish trawlers . So far, four ships of this type have been delivered.

Ships

As of July 2020, the Icelandic fishing company Samherji operates three ships of this series: the Björg (fishing number EA7, home port Akureyri ), the Björgúlfur (fishing number EA312, home port Dalvik ) and the Kaldbakur (fishing number EA1, home port Akureyri). A fourth ship of the series is operated by the Icelandic fishing company Fisk Seafood : the Drangey (fishing number SK2, home port Sauðárkrókur )

Technical specifications

The length of the ships is 62.54 meters, the width 13.50 meters, the draft is specified as 4.70 meters. They have a displacement of 2074 tons. The ship was from DNV GL with the highest ice class ICE-1A classified . All ships were handed over to their owners in 2017.

The drive consists of a Yanmar diesel in-line engine with an output of 1620 kW . This acts on a CAT-CP propeller. There is also a bow thruster with 320 kW. The ships reach a speed of 12 knots .

Cold rooms are available for storing the catch, and the ships each have an ice machine.
