ST14 ( S trassenbahn- T riebwagen 14 ) is a series of tram cars of the Darmstadt tram . HEAG mobilo owns a total of 18 railcars of this type with the road numbers 0775-0792. With the commissioning of the ST14, the high-floor multiple units of the ST10 and ST11 series were decommissioned. After the ST13, the series is the second type of low-floor tram in Darmstadt . Manufacturers are Alstom , Vossloh Kiepe and Bombardier Transportation . All vehicles are one-way vehicles. Identical vehicles run on the Gera tram , as NGT8G and on the Braunschweig tram as NGT8D.

Structure and equipment

A railcar is 29.3 meters long and consists of three vehicle modules, with a two-axle motor bogie under the first and the last and two double-axle small wheel bogies under the second. The total drive power is 4 × 95 kW, the motors are water-cooled. All three vehicle modules have a double outer pivoting sliding door and the first and last car have a single outer pivoting sliding door at the front and rear ends.

There are 81 seats and 80 standing places per vehicle, so  a total of 161 people can be transported.

The handrails in all vehicles are made of aluminum. In the first and last vehicle module, the floors are raised at the end, as the vehicle engines are housed there.

The ST14 can be found on all lines, in mixed traffic with ST13 and ST12 as well as with attached SB9 .
