history

The club was founded on May 25, 1907 under the name Viktoria Raunheim and bore its current name for the first time from 1919 after the merger with FC Germania Raunheim. Between the two world wars there was a merger with the gymnastics club in 1882 and after the war the resumption of gaming began, initially under the name "Sportgemeinde 1882". With the renewed independence under the old name SV 07 Raunheim, they started in the Frankfurt district class from 1947 and in the A-class Groß-Gerau from 1950. After promotion and relegation between the B and the district class or district league, the zero sevens were champions of the district league in Darmstadt in 1993 and rose to the Landesliga Hessen Süd. In 1996 the championship was also celebrated there, so that between 1996 and 1998 the Oberliga Hessen was played. The coach of the promotion team was Jochen Rebsch. He was followed by Heinz Wulf and Hartmut Freudenberg in the Oberliga Hessen.

The club today

After the various relegations since 1998 and the interim merger with the local neighbor SSV Raunheim to form FSV 07 Raunheim, the club has been playing under its old name SV 07 Raunheim since 2008, currently in the fourth lowest division, the district league A Groß-Gerau. For the 2017/18 season, the two A-division clubs SV 07 and FC Raunheim merged to form SV 07 Raunheim.
