history
Predecessor clubs
SC Prussia Koenigsberg
The SC Preußen Königsberg was founded in 1905, a game operation in the Baltic Lawn and Winter Sports Association did not take place until the 1911/12 season, when the club was assigned to the 4th class Königsberg and the immediate promotion to the 3rd class Königsberg succeeded. This division could also be won immediately, so that the club started in the 2nd class in Königsberg in 1913/14 . In the game operations, which were irregular during the First World War , the Königsberg league was played in 1916/17 . In 1919/20 the SC Preußen Königsberg played in the first-class first class Königsberg and reached fourth place out of six participating teams.
SC favorite Königsberg
The SC Favorit Königsberg was founded in January 1910 and, according to the DFB yearbook, initially had 19 members. In the 1910/11 season, she was assigned to the 3rd class in Königsberg . This league could be won in 1911/12, in the following year Favorite Königsberg became champion of the 2nd class Königsberg , so that the march into the first class 1st class Königsberg succeeded. In this, the club was last placed in Group A in 1913/14 , during the First World War in 1914/15 there was still a game operation in 1st class.
VfR Koenigsberg
The VfR Königsberg played in the first-class first class Königsberg in 1919/20 and reached fifth place in the table. A previous game operation or any previous clubs are currently not recorded.
RSV Ostmark Koenigsberg
The RSV Ostmark Königsberg was formed on April 23, 1911 from a merger of FC Germania Königsberg with SC Brandenburg Königsberg , few members remained with Germania Königsberg .
Germania was founded in 1905 and was placed in 2nd class in Königsberg for the 1906/07 season , where the club remained for several years. In 1909, according to the DFB yearbook, the club had 44 members. In the 1909/10 season, Germania lost the deciding game on October 17, 1909 for the 2nd class championship against the second team from SV Prussia-Samland Königsberg 3: 4, but since the second team was not eligible for promotion, Germania rose Königsberg in the first class. The 1910/11 season ended with the last place in the table, the relegation game against the second team of VfB Königsberg was lost 4-1. Again, Germania was lucky, since second teams were still not allowed to move up to 1st class, the club remained in the league.
The SC Brandenburg Königsberg was placed in 2nd class for the 1910/11 season. After the merger to form Ostmark Königsberg, the club remained in the top division until the First World War. In 1915/16 the first place in the Königsberg League was achieved.
Lawn Sports Prussia Koenigsberg
In 1920 the merger to the game association Lawn Sports-Prussia Königsberg took place, the club took over the starting place in the first division from its predecessor clubs. In 1920/21 and 1922/23 the club came second in Koenigsberg without seriously competing with the series winner VfB Koenisgberg . Although the club missed the qualification in the top East Prussian league, which was newly introduced for the 1926/27 season , the third place in the table from the 1925/26 season entitled to participate in the promotion games of 1926/27, which were successfully designed. In the 1927/28 season , however, SV Rasensport-Preußen Königsberg withdrew its team after ten game days for economic reasons from the East Prussian League and moved to the second-rate Königsberg district league . After the East Prussian League was dissolved in 1930 and replaced by three regional leagues, Lawn Sports Prussia Königsberg made the leap back to first class. Here the club achieved midfield placements until the association was dissolved.
After the National Socialists came to power in 1933, the football associations were dissolved and replaced by football districts. The four best teams from the Königsberg division league, originally intended for the Baltic football finals in 1933/34 , qualified for the newly introduced East Prussian Gauliga . Since Lawn Sports Prussia Königsberg reached second place, the club qualified for the Gauliga East Prussia 1933/34 . In this, the Königsbergs reached fourth place. In the following season , Lawn Sports Prussia Königsberg was last, relegation was only avoided because the Gauliga East Prussia was increased from 14 to 28 teams for the coming season and consequently there was no relegated team this season. After a third place in the 1935/36 season in the Königsberg district, the Königsbergs' greatest success followed when they were first in their Gauliga group in 1936/37 before VfB Königsberg and Prussia-Samland Königsberg and were thus able to move into the Gauendrunde. After six games, Königsberg was just second behind SV Hindenburg Allenstein and thus just missed the Gauendspiel. In the 1938/39 season , Lawn Sport-Prussia Königsberg was last and was relegated for the first time from the Gauliga. The rise again succeeded in the 1940/41 season , but due to the war, the Königsberg family withdrew before the start of the season.
After the Second World War , Königsberg, which had been German until then, was annexed by the Soviet Union . Lawn Sports Prussia Königsberg was, like all other German clubs and institutions, forcibly dissolved.
