Saša Aleksander Živec (born April 2, 1991 in Šempeter-Vrtojba ) is a Slovenian football player who has been under contract with the Polish first division club Zagłębie Lubin since 2019 .
Career
On July 16, 2010 Živec made his debut for Primorje in a 4-1 away defeat against FC Koper . On August 29, he scored his first goal in a 5-1 home win against NK Olimpija Ljubljana . In the 2010/11 season he played 31 games in the Slovenian PrvaLiga and provided seven templates. Despite his performance, Primorje was last and relegated to the Slovenian second division.
On June 14, 2011, Živec joined CSKA Sofia under a three-year contract . On July 16, he scored his first goal for CSKA Sofia in a friendly against Krakow. Živec made his debut on July 30th as a substitute in a 3-1 win in the Bulgarian Supercup against Litex Lovech .
After his contract with CSKA Sofia was terminated, he returned to his home country Slovenia and moved to Domžale on February 9, 2012 with a two-and-a-half-year contract. Živec made his debut for the club on March 10th. He opened the 2012/13 season with a 2-1 away win against Olimpija, in which he scored both goals for his team. In 2013 he was loaned to ND Gorica and scored 6 goals in 36 competitive games.
In 2014 Živec moved to Poland for the Polish first division club Piast Gliwice on a free transfer . After a successful time in Gliwice, and a short stopover at Omonia Nicosia for the 2018/19 season, he moved again to the Ekstraklasa with Zagłębie Lubin . Živec made his debut for Zagłębie with a goal in a 2-0 home win in their second league game against Arka Gdynia .
