The Saab GT750 was a passenger car model from the Swedish manufacturer Saab and the sports version of the Saab 93 . The car was built between April 1958 and 1960. The car was mainly intended for export to the USA . 546 of the 605 copies built were exported to the USA.

With the overall victory at the Great American Mountain Rally , Saab had become a household name among sports drivers in the USA. This group of people should be offered a suitable vehicle with the Saab 750 GT; At the same time, it was hoped to make the Saab brand known through its use at various racing events.
technology
The basic version of the 3-cylinder two-stroke engine developed 45 hp from 750 cm³ displacement at a speed of 5000 rpm. The top speed was about 150 km / h with an acceleration of about 12 seconds from 0-96 km / h. The engine could be ordered in various power levels, with the 50 hp kit costing $ 148.
The 750 GT had a very extensive range of equipment. The instruments included a tachometer, timer, fuel gauge and temperature gauge. A Halda speed pilot was installed in front of the passenger. Wooden steering wheel, reclining seats and a headrest for the passenger increased the comfort considerably. The back seat was replaced by jump seats.
The 750 GT was recognized from the outside by the double chrome trim strip between the axles. There were also wheel trim rings, front high beam headlights and reversing lights.
After the appearance of the Saab 96 , the 750 GT received its body. The price in the US was $ 2568.
