The Saarland Tennis Association e. V. ( STB ) is the umbrella organization for all tennis clubs in Saarland . The Saarbrücken- based association is home to 170 clubs with a total of 22,649 members.

The Saarland Tennis Association was founded in Saarbrücken in 1948 and was therefore a national association due to the political situation in Saarland at the time . In 1957, after the Saarland was incorporated into the Federal Republic of Germany, it was accepted into the German Tennis Association . The association is thus significantly younger than the oldest clubs in the region: The first tennis club in Saarland was founded in St. Wendel in 1904 .
