Sabina Kasslatter Mur (born June 18, 1963 in Brixen as Sabina Kasslatter) is a South Tyrolean politician of the SVP .

Life

Kasslatter Mur graduated in 1988 with a degree in history and German at the University of Innsbruck with a thesis The city of Brixen from 1918 to 1925: economic and social adjustment problems. She then worked from 1988 to 1993 as an editor and later as deputy head of department for the daily newspaper Dolomiten .

In 1990 she became politically active as a councilor of Barbian and at the same time assessor for the environment, social issues, youth and information. In the elections in 1993 she was able to win a mandate for the South Tyrolean state parliament and thus at the same time for the regional council of Trentino-South Tyrol , of which she was a member until 2013. From 1993 to 1996 she was President of the State Parliament, from 1996 to 1998 as Vice-President. In 1999 she was elected to the South Tyrolean provincial government . From February 1999 to December 2003, Kasslatter Mur served in the Durnwalder III cabinet as regional councilor for German schools and German and Ladin vocational training, and from 2003 to 2008 in the Durnwalder IV cabinet as regional councilor for family, monument preservation and German culture. Between 2003 and 2004, she also served briefly as Vice President of the Regional Council. In the following legislative period, she was in the Durnwalder V cabinet, responsible state councilor for German schools, monument preservation, educational support, German culture and vocational training. In October 2012, Kasslatter Mur announced that she no longer wanted to run for the 2013 state elections and subsequently withdrew from active politics.
