Sabine Doht
Sabine Doht (born July 31, 1960 in Eisenach ) is a German politician (formerly SPD ) and former Thuringian member of the state parliament .
Life and work
Sabine Doht is married to the former mayor of Eisenach , Matthias Doht , and has two children. In 1979 she graduated from the extended secondary school in Ruhla with the Abitur and then began studying chemistry at the University of Jena . In 1980 she moved to the Technical University of Karl-Marx-Stadt (today Chemnitz University of Technology ) and completed an engineering degree, which she completed in 1985 with a diploma in materials technology. She then worked as a production technologist at the Eisenach automobile plant until 1990, and the following year she worked in work preparation at Mitec-Wärmebehandlungs GmbH in Eisenach. From 1992 to 1994 she was with the August-Bebel- Gesellschaft e. V. employed.
politics
In 1989, Sabine Doht was one of the founding members of the SPD in Eisenach. In 1994 she became a member of the Thuringian state parliament , where she was elected to one of three deputy chairmen of the SPD parliamentary group after the state elections in 2009 . In November 2013 she announced that she no longer wanted to run for the 2014 state election . The reason she cited was the rapprochement between her party and the Left Party . She left the Thuringian state parliament in 2014 after four terms. In protest against the election of Bodo Ramelow ( Die Linke ) as Prime Minister of Thuringia in a coalition of the Left Party, SPD and Greens, she resigned from the SPD on the day of his election on December 5, 2014.
Political and social functions
From 1986 to 1990 Sabine Doht was the chairperson of the specialist section in the Chamber of Technology and was also a member of the district committee for hardening technology. From 1990 she worked for seven years as a member of the district council in the old district of Eisenach . From 1992 to 1999 she was a member of the SPD state executive committee for Thuringia and was re-elected as an assessor in 2008. From 1996 to 2006 she was chairwoman of the August-Bebel-Gesellschaft e. V. in Eisenach. In 1998 she became chairwoman of the Eisenacher swimming and sports club e. V. She has been chairwoman of the supervisory board of the "Sonnenschein" eG Eisenach housing association since 1998 and has been on the supervisory board of Sportbad Eisenach GmbH since 2004. Sabine Doht is also a member of the board of SGK Thuringia.
