Thiago Carleto Alves or just Thiago Carleto (born March 24, 1989 in São Bernardo do Campo ) is a Brazilian football player . The left full-back has been under contract with Ittihad FC since 2018 .
Career
Thiago Carleto began his career at FC Santos , for whom he made his debut on April 11, 2007 against CA Juventus .
After Manchester United , Real Madrid and Chelsea FC had expressed interest in signing Carleto, it was announced in November 2008 that he would move to Valencia CF for a transfer fee of € 600,000. Carleto, seen in his homeland as the new Roberto Carlos , signed a contract until 2014. He made his debut for Valencia on February 14, 2009 when he came on for Emiliano Moretti in the league match against FC Málaga . In the 2009/10 season he was loaned to FC Elche , in February 2010 he returned to Brazil and joined FC São Paulo . From here he was loaned to other clubs until 2016.
