Sabine Panzram (* 1970 in Krefeld ) is a German ancient historian .

Sabine Panzram studied history, German and Romance philology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and the Universitat de Barcelona from 1989 to 1996 and graduated with the first state examination. In 2001 she received her doctorate from the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster with a thesis on the cityscape and elite: Tarraco, Corduba and Augusta Emerita between Republic and Late Antiquity , supervised by Johannes Hahn . Panzram worked as a research assistant in Münster until 2003, then in Hamburg until 2007; there she was employed for an unlimited period as a teacher for special tasks at the Seminar for Ancient History from 2008 to 2017. From 2010 to 2012 she led a project at the German Archaeological Institute Berlin / Madrid on “Religion and Politics in the dioecesis Hispaniarum . Hagiography in the context of urban rivalries (4th-7th centuries) ”. In 2013 she completed her habilitation at the University of Hamburg with a study on Christianity without a church.
