Sabine Platz

Sabine Platz (born May 30, 1971 in Kitchener (Ontario) , Canada ) is a German television journalist .

Life

Platz grew up in West Berlin . After completing secondary school, she completed an apprenticeship as a clothing tailor and then as a clerk in wholesale and retail in the Kaufhaus des Westens . After the training she received the technical university and studied at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (then FHTW ) Business Communication .

Journalistic career

During his studies, Platz worked as a freelancer for the ZDF morning magazine . After completing her studies, she completed an editorial traineeship at ZDF . She then became a reporter for ZDF, initially in the Baden-Württemberg state studio and since 2004 for the ZDF morning magazine.

Between 2001 and 2003 she produced reports from the war zones in Kosovo and Afghanistan . There are u. a. the films Unveiled - Afghan women on the move and Mister Vera - Mission in Afghanistan about the mine clearance worker Vera Bohle were made.

In the ZDF morning magazine and midday magazine , Platz is active in various functions behind the camera, but can also be seen in recurring formats or series, the titles of which partly take up the standard language meaning of your family name , e.g. For example, the service series Platz im Garten or the series Platz at home and Platz auf Tour, which were created during the Corona crisis .
