Sabrody (Ukrainian Заброди ; Russian Заброды ) is a village in the northwest of the Ukrainian Oblast Kharkiv with about 600 inhabitants (2004).
The village was founded in 1794 is the administrative center of the same name, 40.59 km² District Municipality in Rajon Bohodukhiv to which even the villages Woskobijnyky ( Воскобійники ) lozova ( Лозова ) Nowoseliwka ( Новоселівка ) and Filatowe ( Філатове ) belong.
Sabrody is located on the left bank of the Merla , a 116 km long tributary of the Vorskla , 8 km east of the district center Bohoduchiw and 60 km northwest of the oblast center Kharkiv .
Sons and daughters of the village
- Petro Tronko (1915–2011), Soviet officer as well as Ukrainian historian and politician, was born in the village.
