The Safa SC Beirut is a sports club from Beirut in Lebanon . The club plays in the country's highest league, the Lebanese Premier League . The footballers play their home games in the Safa SC stadium.
Club history
The club was founded in 1937. In 1948 the association received its official license and was classified in the 2nd division. In 1961 the promotion to the first division took place after one was previously from 1948 to 1960 continuously champions of the second division.
In its long history, the club became Lebanese champions for the first time in 2012 . In 2013 you could even secure the double . The third championship followed after the 2015/16 season . Seven times the footballers only finished second at the end of a season. The 2008/09 season ended the club in third place. In 2008 Safa reached the final of the AFC Cup , but lost to the Muharraq FC .
