The Lebanese Premier League 2017/18 was the 58th season of the top Lebanese football league since it was founded in 1933. The season began on September 15, 2017 with the defending champions al Ahed's home game against Nejmeh Club (2-2) and ended on September 15, 2017 April 2018. From December 11, 2017 to January 5, 2018 it was interrupted by the winter break . On matchday 21, al Ahed secured their sixth championship title ahead of schedule with a 1-0 win over al-Ansar . Al-Shabab al-Arabi and al Islah were relegated to the Lebanese Second Division at the end of the season .

The clubs play a double round tournament , which results in a total of 22 games per team. The game is played according to the 3-point rule (three points per win, one point per tie). The table is determined according to the following criteria:

- Number of points scored in direct comparison
- Goal difference in direct comparison
At the end of the season, the team with the highest points qualifies for the group stage of the AFC Cup 2019 . The Lebanese FA Cup winner will take part in the play-off round of the AFC Cup. However, if he already qualifies through the league, the second in the league takes his place in the play-offs.
The two clubs with the fewest points are relegated to the second-rate Lebanese Second Division .

Al-Shabab al-Arabi and al Islah were promoted to the Lebanese Premier League as champions and runner-up in the Lebanese Second Division in 2016/17.
The two promoted teams replace the two last-placed clubs of the 2016/17 season , Shabab al-Sahel and al Egtmaaey Tripoli . Egtmaaey Tripoli had to return to the Lebanese Second Division after only two years in the Lebanese Premier League. Shabab al-Sahel was relegated for the last time in the 2004/05 season .
