Hassan Maatouk ( Arabic حسن معتوق, DMG Ḥasan Maʿtūq ; * October 8, 1987 in Beirut ) is a Lebanese soccer player who has been under contract with the Nejmeh Club from Lebanon since summer 2017 .
Career
society
Hassan Maatouk began his career in 2005 with the Lebanese club Al Ahed . With Al Ahed he won the Lebanese Premier League three times , the Elite Cup twice and the Supercup once. At the AFC Cup 2005 he scored three goals and retired with his team in the quarterfinals against Sunray Cave JC Sun Hei from Hong Kong . At the Elite Cup 2008 he and his teammate Salih Sadir were top scorer with three goals. On January 30, 2010, he scored two hits in the quarterfinals of the FA Cup against al Nejmeh, despite a man undernumbered , thus securing a place in the semifinals, which was lost to al-Ansar with 1: 3.
In September 2011 he was awarded for one season to the Ajman Club from the United Arab Emirates . On March 26, 2012 it was reported that the French club Olympique Marseille Maatouk had been observing Maatouk for several weeks and planning a transfer in summer 2012. A few days later, AC Ajaccio and OGC Nice also expressed interest in Maatouk.
But instead of moving to France, he signed a one-year contract with Ajman's league rivals, al-Shaab, in October 2012 . From 2013 to 2017 he played for league rivals Al-Fujairah SC .
He has been playing for the Nejmeh Club in the Lebanese Premier League since summer 2017 .
National team
Maatouk has been playing for the Lebanese national soccer team since 2006 and played 66 international matches for them, in which he scored 17 goals. He scored his first goal for Lebanon in the qualifier for the 2014 World Cup against Bangladesh on July 23, 2011. The Cedars celebrated a 4-0 home win that day at the Camille Chamoun Stadium in Beirut .
