The Lebanese Premier League 2008/09 was the 49th season of the Lebanese top division in men's football . A total of twelve teams competed. The defending champion was al Ahed . The Tripoli SC withdrew from the game shortly before the start of the season and was thus already known as the first relegated before the start of the league. The season started on October 11, 2008 and ended on April 26, 2009.

al-Irshad and al-Ahli Saida were relegated to the Second Division after the 2007/08 season . The climbers were Shabab al-Ghazieh and Salam Zgharta .
