Tripoli SC is a Lebanese football club that became Lebanese champions and cup winners in 2003 under the name Olympic Beirut . The association was founded in Beirut in 2000 . In November 2005 the club moved to Tripoli and has since operated under the name Tripoli SC in the Lebanese Premier League . One of the well-known players who played there is Youssef Mohamad who left the club in 2004 and went to SC Freiburg , where his compatriot Roda Antar also played.
Shortly before the start of the 2008/09 season, in October 2008, the club announced that it would not participate in the season. He was then fined 15 million Lebanese pounds by the association . The 2009/10 season the club had to contest in the second division.
