Saint-Michel-sur-Loire was a community with least 665 inhabitants (1 January 2013) in Indre-et-Loire in the region of Center-Val de Loire in France . Saint-Michel-sur-Loire is a district of the municipality of Côteaux-sur-Loire .

The inhabitants call themselves Saint-Michellois, Saint-Michelloises .

geography

Saint-Michel-sur-Loire is located about 30 kilometers west of Tours on the right bank of the Loire , as well as on the parallel river Lane . The municipality was part of the Loire-Anjou-Touraine Regional Nature Park .

The community's population reached its lowest level in the 1970s and then slowly increased again.

On January 1, 2017, the municipality of Saint-Michel-sur-Loire merged with Ingrandes-de-Touraine and Saint-Patrice to form the new municipality of Côteaux-sur-Loire.
