Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune catholique
Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune catholique ( Young Saint Peter Catholic ) is a Roman Catholic church in Strasbourg - Neustadt . It should not be confused with the much older churches in the Church of Jung-St. Peter and Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux .
Architecture and equipment
The church building was built from 1889-1893 according to plans and under the direction of the architects Skjøld Neckelmann and August Hartel in the neo-Romanesque style and crowned with the largest dome in all of Alsace (interior height 50 meters, interior diameter 18.5 meters). Externally, the building is made of red Vosges - sandstone decorated with copper roofs. (Neckelmann was also responsible for the neighboring palace of justice made of gray sandstone.)
Inside the church there is, among other things, a huge neo-Romanesque wheel chandelier , which is modeled on the lost original in the Abbey Church in Weißenburg .

The organ from 2003 comes from the Yves Kœnig workshop . The instrument has 39 registers on two manuals and pedal and has the following disposition :
