Sakda Joemdee ( Thai : ศักดา เจิม ดี , born April 7, 1982 in Yasothon ) is a Thai former football player on the position of midfielder . He played u. a. for the Vietnamese Hoàng Anh Gia Lai in the V-League . Since 2009 he has had both Thai and Vietnamese citizenship. His Vietnamese name is Đoàn Văn Sakda .
Career
Sakda began his senior career at FC Osotspa M-150 , for which he played for three seasons, from 2000 to 2002. With the club he was able to win the Queen's Cup in 2002 and reached the runner-up in the Thai Premier League . With the Vietnamese club Hoàng Anh Gia Lai , to which he moved for one season in 2003, he was able to win his first championship a year later. In the team he played together with Kiatisak Senamuang , among others . He then signed a contract with the NHDA Thep Pomina association , which merged two years later to Thép Pomina Tien Giang . The change to this club is more like a relegation in his career. He rose with the club twice from the first division of Vietnam. He then probably played one season in Indonesia for Persijap Jepara . Chatchai Paholpat , his discoverer and sponsor at Osotspa M-150, became the coach of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai club in 2007 and brought Sakda to his home. Since then, Sakda has been playing at HAGL, as the club is known for short. Since a club in Vietnam is not allowed to have more than three foreign players, Sakda took on Vietnamese citizenship in early 2009.
In the national team, Sakda played for both the U-16 and U-23 as well as for the senior team. In 1998 he won the U-17 soccer championship with the national junior team and thus qualified for the finals of the U-17 soccer world championship in 1999 . With the U-23 he took part in the Southeast Asian Games in 2003 and 2005 and was able to win the gold medal together with the team. He played his first major tournament with the seniors in 2002 when he was in the squad for the ASEAN football championship . The team was able to reach the final. Most of the time, however, he was only substituted on and was not in the starting line-up. His most valuable sporting participation was certainly the 2004 Asian Football Championship tournament .
