Salamonde is a municipality in northern Portugal . It belongs to the district of Vieira do Minho in the district of Braga , has an area of 8.4 km² and has 387 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011). To the north of the municipality is the Salamonde dam on the Cávado river .
