The Salandi is a left tributary of the Baitarani in the east Indian state of Odisha .

The Salandi rises in the Meghasani Hills in the south of the Similipal Mountains , a mountain group of the Eastern Ghats , in the Mayurbhanj district at an altitude of 900  m . The Salandi flows mainly in a southerly direction. Before reaching the coastal plain, the river is dammed by the Salandi dam . Later it flows through the city of Bhadrak and splits into several branches of the river, which unite again. 9 km above the village of Chandbali it finally flows into the Baitarani.

The Salandi is 144 km long. It drains an area of ​​1793 km².
