The Salibia River (also: St. Marie River ) is a river on the coast in eastern Dominica in the Parish Saint David .

geography

The Salibia River rises on a northern branch of the Morne La Source in the Carib Territory . The rivers Ravine Tortues (W, tributary of the Pagua River ) and Kusarakua ( River Gaulette , S) also arise in close proximity . The river initially runs north and turns in the Tortue Basin , where it receives numerous small tributaries and almost reaches the Ravine Chewai Blanc , to the east and plunges towards the sea in the valley of Salybia . It passes the Salybia Hospital (Salybia Clinic) and the Salybia Catholic Church before flowing into the Atlantic at Anse Baleine , a little south of the Crayfish River . The river is about 2.7 km long.

The shorter rivers Ravine Benoit and Ravine Butari run to the south .
