The Salmon Creek (English for " salmon stream") is an approximately 28 km long left tributary of the Tionesta Creek in the northwest of the US state Pennsylvania . It runs entirely in the Allegheny National Forest in the Forest County area . Its catchment area extends over an area of around 142 square kilometers, making it the largest tributary of the Tionesta Creek.

Salmon Creek rises in the southern part of Howe Township in the Beaver Meadows Recreation Area around 8 km north-northeast of Marienville . It initially flows southeast towards the valley and after a short run it crosses the border to Jenks Township . Immediately afterwards it reaches the bottom of the valley and is dammed into Beaver Meadows Lake , into which the Pemoke Run also flows. After the outflow, it flows to the southwest and forms a heavily forested valley . It passes Marienville, which is a little to the east, turns briefly to the west and then in a large arc to the north, in order to then take up the Little Salmon Creek flowing towards the right .
After its confluence, it turns to the northwest and now flows through Kingsley Township . It takes in the water of the Fourmile Run and the Twomile Run and shortly before Kellettville , another important tributary flows into The Branch . Finally, the Salmon Creek flows into the lower reaches of the Tionesta Creek at 351 m .
